TFD: Little Looster Booster – Review + Giveaway {CLOSED}

UPDATE: Our winner is Erin Lewin! Congrats Erin!

I am sure that you all know that I have a pretty spirited 2 year old. We have been toying with the whole potty training thing for a few months now. Abby seems interested and is even kind enough to take off her wet diapers and throw them away for me
. But for the life of me, I can not get her to sit on her little potties. I personally think that it is because they are also stepstools and we introduced them to soon. Now she thinks of it as her stool and not her potty. Anyway, I same acrossed an opportunity to review the new Looster Booster and jumped on it. I am so glad that I did!
I planned on waiting until we got moved to get down and dirty (pun intended!) with the potty training but when I got this product I put it around the toilet to test it out. I didn’t even talk to Abby about it and an hour later she wanted to get on the pot. We took the ring insert out of the little potty seat and put it in the toilet and the proudly sat down. Over the last few days she has gone into the bathroom on her own and sat on it many times. On several occasions she even told me that she pottied but I couldn’t tell after the mounds of toilet paper that she keeps putting in the toilet!

Our new Looster Booster!
So, seriously, in a matter of one week I went from putting off the potty training to actively working on it and it is all because of the Looster Booster. I think that this is a great invention so mad props to Monica who invented it! And keeps it Made in the USA! And fun fact…. I just learned that she was on Saved By The Bell.
Of course this product has several benefits that I need to point out! First, it provides leg support for children for years to come. Second, it helps curb the scary feeling of “falling in” the toilet for small kids as they support their own weight. And, it allows kids to keep their hands free and not grip the germ covered toilet for stability.

No horror stories but I am taking it slow with my 2 1/2 year old. So far he’ll pee on the potty but that’s it!
My tip is to just stop using diapers when you are home. Cleaning up isn’t much fun, but it worked pretty quickly for my little guy.

No horror stories yet, but I have 2 boys… I’m sure there will be plenty! My DH wants me to teach them to go on trees outside first. I’m dead.freakin.serious!
My advice is don’t start before they are ready! Makes for a frustrated mommy and kiddo : )
No horror stories here! My advice (after only training one) – start early and use cloth training pants! We started sitting our now 2 1/2 year old daughter on the potty about a year ago, and putting cloth panties on her at home from time to time. It has been a gradual process, but she is now fully potty trained. Still likes to have a stool for her feet, though, and it would be great to get rid of the bulky one we now have in our small bathroom!!

Potty training horror story – I was with my newborn downstairs and my 3 year old son only had his shirt on. I yelled upstairs to see what he was doing and he said “I’m going poo-poo upstairs, not downstairs”. Well, his potty is downstairs. Needless to say it was a big mess and the carpet shampooer needed to get out AGAIN! I guess it’s funny when you look back, but our whole house needs a good cleaning.

My spirited guy will be 4 in November and we’re STILL struggling with pt! When at home, he goes naked and has a 90% success rate. But, as soon as we add underwear, pants, or a pull-up he potties right in them and THEN tells me “mommy I’m wet” or “mommy I’m stinky” – Arrrgggh! He knows what to do, but I think he gets lazy, lol. I think this product would definitely help us out!

My question is how do you get a boy interested in potty training? I raised two girls, but my grandson is 20 months and he hasn’t showed any interest yet. We already hear of other kids his age showing signs that they want to use the potty, but my grandson doesn’t even act any different if he has pee/poop in his diaper… much less go to use the potty. We have a long road ahead of us!
I’m not successful with my son YET, but I have put cherrios in the potty for aiming targets, put liquid dish soap in the potty so he can creat bubbles when he goes, stickers on a potty chart, and dum-dums as a surprise when he goes #2. I let him pick the surprise out of a bucket. There are some small toys (cars, books, toys from happy meals) but he always goes for the suckers. Someone told me to put a toy car in the potty and have him go on that as if he is washing the car. I haven’t tried that yet.

I haven’t potty trained yet so don’t have horror stories. However I *do* wonder how early is TOO early (since you mentioned it in this post). What age is good to start? Mine is 15 months.

My best advice is pick an awesome preschool that does it for you! I didn’t even know my oldest was potty trained until I got a note from her teacher telling me to send her to school in underwear from now on! I hope things go as smoothly with her little sister then the time comes…

My best advice is to let your kiddo run around naked at the beginning (if you don’t have carpeting). This seemed the best way for my kids to learn when they were peeing.

I am entering to win this for my baby brother and sister in law. The are expecting a baby girl in December. This will make me an auntie for only the second time. I have another niece that is 22 Years old.
I am 13 years older than my baby brother. I can remember when he was being potty trained. He would try to do anything to keep from sitting on the potty chair. My mom had a heck of a time.

My 18 month old loves his little potty and he sits on it all the time now! He even sits on command LOL. When do I know when he is “ready” for it or even ready to sit on the big toilet?? I love this Looster Booster though since he will need to go to the real toilet eventually.. Or should I skip little potty and go to this one?! Thanks for any advice.

They learn faster the more accidents they have to start with. I think
I have 4 kids under 6 and I must say potty training is my LEAST favorite thing about parenting thus far! My horror story is simple: potty training twins. you know how twins are in-tune with each other and have a twin-sense. well, that goes the same for potty time. yep. two shouting 2 year olds fighting over the potty…usually one on the bjorn, one on the big potty. Lots of misses (times 2) and lots of “I need to poop.” with an echo of “I need to poop too!” sigh. This little beauty of a step stool will make potty time soooo much easier!!

We are quasi trying to potty train. My toddler is 2.5 and I don’t know what to do. I have 10 month old twins who take up so much time and focus that I really haven’t been able to get really serious about it. I need serious help.
My most recent funny story I suppose is actually ongoing with my 2.5 year old. When I ask him if he needs to go potty his response is a very very adamant: NO POTTY EVVERRRRRRRRRR!!!! I have taken this to be a sign of him not being ready. lol My advice after seemingly endless potty training with my now 6 year old daughter is to follow the general consensus of waiting until your child is showing signs of readiness. Save yourself lots of headaches (and messes) and don’t push it.

we are currently potty training my daughter and nothing is working….my daughter says she is not ready…which probably means she is ready! I need to read all the tips!
I was potty training my oldest and my youngest son was very interested in the potty seat. Before I dumped the pee in the potty, my little one dumped it on his head! YUCKO! Now the youngest is ready to potty train and I would love to have the Looster Booster to avoid the yucky potty seat.

My now 5 year old princess had a VERY hard time getting potty trained. We seemed to be able to get her to pee very often, but then there were those other times when she refused to sit on the potty at all and had accidents. We came to realize that those problem times were because she had an issue with pooping, and it was really hard for her to grasp that sitting on the potty made it easier than squating in a corner. Now I am on two my 2 yr old prince who just flat out refuses, LOL!
The besst advice I can offer is to let your little ones (and I mean little, from like 12 months old and on) run around naked some times. After bath time is a great time to try it. It helps them be aware of everything. Also, running around naked in the backyard helps too, plus, less messes to clean up!
My son was potty trained around 26 months and my daughter is 26 months now and she’s been doing great. She uses a little stool now, but the looster looks awesome and way better than what she uses now!!
When is a good time to start potty training, I think it is time for me to start with my little boy??
You won!

I don t have a horror story yet….. yet! lol But a good question! When is the right time to start?
I think I need a potty seat!! Just this evening as I was filling the bathtub, I sat my unclothed 23 month old daughter on the (closed) toilet seat. Once the bubble bath was all set, I plopped her into the tub, and sat down on the (closed) toilet myself. Much to my chagrin, my skirt was soaked because she had apparently peed on the toilet seat when I wasn’t paying attention, and I sat RIGHT IN IT. I’ve been delaying the notion of potty training because we’re expecting Baby #2 in 4 weeks or so and I wanted to get the house settled with the baby first, but maybe she’s trying to tell me to get her a potty seat ASAP!!! It’d be great to win one!! Thanks.
